An FHA modification was offered. The sheriff’s sale was still approaching.
After a family hardship, New Jersey homeowners received an FHA loan modification offer. But disputes over electronically signed documents and later submission deadlines prevented the modification from being finalized.
As a sheriff’s sale approached, our office filed an emergency application seeking a short stay to permit a final loss-mitigation review or an arm’s-length sale that could preserve substantial potential equity.
STATUS: EMERGENCY APPLICATION FILED — OUTCOME NOT YET REPORTED.
